A warm day and pristine greeted 54 SE Veterans golfers at Bordertown last week, with Mount Gambier’s Daryl Hutchins making the most of the conditions to post 39 points and claim the win in first division.

Bordertown’s Chris Leach finished runner-up on 38 points, ahead of Millicent’s Geoff Cameron with 37.

Second division was won by Millicent’s Rob “Tank” Thompson with 35 points, from Bordertown’s Pat Seneca and Blue Lake’s Gavin Sparrow, both with 33.

Barry Brook, Brian Slape, Lyndsay Copeman and Graham Pilgrim took out the nearest the pins, while the prized Ross Orchard (NAGA) trophy was won by Wayne Dunford and Jimmy Hyland. The Scotch was taken home by the ever-smiling Kym Sandford.

The outing for the SE Veterans is at Blue Lake on November 20, followed by Port Mac Donnell on December 4.
