MURTOA owner-trainer Josh McDonald’s good run at Tara Raceway over the past eight weeks continued at a recent Sunday meeting with It’s A Punisher.
Lining up in the Swallow Drive Meats Stake over 400 metres, the black dog led all the way from box four when defeating Camargo by two lengths in 23.59 seconds.
It’s A Punisher is by Orson Allen out of Lilly An’ Page who won a couple of races at Tara Raceway in December 2019 for McDonald – around the same time he won his first race at the Mount Gambier track with Magnet Force.
“She’s had only the one litter, which I bred,” McDonald said.
“I actually sold It’s A Punisher as a pup.
“In March this year he was returned to me after having won a race at Bendigo over 500 metres 12 months ago.”
