Tigers look for win on the road

Glencoe will face a tough test against Mount Burr if the Murphies are to return to the winner's list this weekend.

PORT MACDONNELL V TANTANOOLA

Tantanoola heads to Port MacDonnell this weekend to face off against the Demons in Round 15 of Mid South East netball.

Port MacDonnell’s strong defensive combination of Alysha Coon and Alana Berkefeld will work tirelessly in the circle and create issues for Tantanoola’s Keryl Ousey and Emma Gould.

Down the other end of the court Megan Hein and Kori Collins will be fed well from outside of the circle by Liza Mutch and Shannon Scheidl.

Kate Bromley and Tayla Rowe fight hard to create turnovers and send the ball back down the court through Kate Varcoe and Casey Walker, who will feed into the Tantanoola goalies with ease, using their height to their advantage.

Port MacDonnell’s defensive line up will make it hard to get the ball into the circle, getting hands over balls and creating intercepts wherever possible.

After a hard-fought game Tantanoola will come away with the win.

HATHERLEIGH V NANGWARRY

Hatherleigh hosts Nangwarry this weekend in what should be a comfortable victory for the Eagles.

Nangwarry’s defensive line up of Kayla Gray and Chrystal Lock will work hard to shut down the influence of Demi Vanderhorst and Maddie Pulmer in the goal circle for the Eagles. Cassie Dinnison will lead the Saints through the court and will combine with Claire Ferguson to feed into goalies Hayley Vanderhorst and Tahlia Wilson.

Maddie Redman and Elly Redden are a strong defensive combination for the Eagles and they will create turnovers in the circle, feeding the ball back down the court through Tegan Telfer and Erin Watson.

Hatherleigh will come away with the win, but the Saints will fight hard for every possession.

GLENCOE V MOUNT BURR

Glencoe will look to return to the winner’s list when it hosts Mount Burr.

The Mozzies mid-courters Laura Schultz and Ella Easterby combine well and feed their goalies Lauren Wheeler and Ebony Clark with ease from outside the circle.

Glencoe’s Chelsea Owen and Sarah Edwards will fight hard to create turnovers, chasing up loose balls before feeding them back down the court, guided by Donna Jaeschke.

Jenna Paproth and Chantelle Cocks are both accurate goalies and will convert many turnovers sent their way from the defensive end, but they will be under pressure from Mount Burr’s Maddi Haggett and Olivia Dean.

This game has the potential to be a close one, but Glencoe will finish the day with the points.

KONGORONG V ROBE

Kongorong hosts Robe this weekend, with the Hawks coming off the bye in Round 14.

Robe’s Tori Gluyas and Sarah Laurie have been combining well in the goal circle, moving and shooting with ease.

The Hawks defenders Riley Buckingham and Emily Lightbody will fight tirelessly, snatching up any loose balls and rebounds they can, before working the ball back down the court through Kate Wright and Rachel Perry.

Down the other end of the court Tilah Buckingham and Evie Sealey will move well together, shooting with accuracy, but the pressure of Emma Grant and Georgia Perkins may prove to be too much for the young goalies.

This game will likely end in Robe’s favour, but the Hawks will not let it go without a tough battle.
