CASTERTON SANDFORD V NORTH GAMBIER

ISLAND Park is the venue for the Round 10 of Western Border football clash between Casterton Sandford and North Gambier.

Both sides sit inside the top four with a clear gap back to fifth place.

However, the Cats would surely like to win this one on their home turf and turn the tables on the Tigers.

When the two sides last clashed at Vansittart Park the Tigers claimed a comfortable 43-point win.

Toby deWit was in fine form in front of goals with seven majors for the day.

For the Cats, Hamish McCrae was the focal point up forward with three goals for his efforts.

The Cats come off a big loss at the hands of Millicent, while the Tigers were pushed to the final siren by a determined East Gambier.

While the Tigers above the Cats on the ladder, they have won just five games this season, one more than Casterton Sandford.

It all looks tight on paper, but that last clash between the two sides suggests on the ground the Tigers have the edge.

North will need to ensure it is on from the first bounce to ensure the Cats do not get the edge, while the Casterton Sandford defenders will certainly have their work cut out for them.

This game should go the way of North, with the margin the only real question.
