ROBE 14.10 (94) D TANTANOOLA 2.3 (15)

A 40-point opening term set the scene as Robe easily accounted for Tantanoola in Round 10 of Mid South East football on the weekend.

While the Roosters laid a strong foundation for the remainder of the day, the Tigers could only manage one behind.

Not much improved for the Tigers from there on, with the second term seeing one straight goal from the visitors, while the home side banged on another three majors and handful of behinds to stretch the margin to 54 points at the long break.

On a day like Saturday, with the football like a cake of soap, there was no way the Tigers could close that margin and the third term showed just that.

Tantanoola was held scoreless in the third term, while Robe continued on unabated.

That continued on into the final stanza and while the Roosters slowed down somewhat, it was probably more due to the weather than the opposition.

Goals were shared around by the Roosters, with Egan Regnier and Kaden Woodward bagging three majors each.

Jordan Hentschke, Sam Huebner and Mason Keane added two each.
