THE future stars of the Western Border Football League made their mark on the weekend, with two wins from two games in the South East carnival.

The WB boys first faced the Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara side to open the carnival, skipping out to a 10-point advantage after a half of football.

Far from resting on their laurels, the WB boys continued to push hard in the final half, adding a further three major scores to run out convincing victors 7.6 (48) to 4.2 (26).

Harvey Croker, Jarvi Mee, Cruz McCracken, Jacob Sim, Rhys Newton and William Attiwill were best for the victors.

Samuel Buick, Darcy Twigden, Harrison Clark, Joey Ottoson-crossling, Finn Skeer and Ben Copping were best for the KNT.

Round 2 saw the KNT up against the Mid South East boys, with the former comfortable 6.7 (43) to 4.1 (25) victors.

The MSE boys would be disappointed after leading at the break by three points.

The KNT boys then banged on four major scores in the second half while holding MSE to just one.

Best for the victors were Cooper Atkinson, Harrison Clark, Darcy Twigden, Archie Dahlitz, Toby Excell and Darcy duRand.

Best for MSE were Lachlan Brierley, Kane Gilbert, Charlie Bevan, Ryan Lucas, Nate Von Stanke-Dowie and Kai Gilmore.

Game 3 saw the WB boys with the chance to clean up for the weekend and they made no mistake about it against the MSE boys.

The final scoreline of 11.6 (72) to 3.1 (19) showed their dominance at that level.

The writing was on the wall in the first half, with WB out to a 35-point lead after holding MSE to just one major score.

The MSE boys added a further three goals in the second half but it was all academic as the WB boys banged on a further five to ice the game.

Best for the victors were Harvey Croker, William Attiwill, Jarvi Mee, Archie Lane, Jacob Sim and Sam Baron.

Best for MSE were Casey Wilson, Lachlan Brierley, Charlie Bevan, Nate Von Stanke-Dowie, Kane Gilbert and Hudson Nowak.
