A STABLEFORD event at the Mount Gambier Golf Club attracted 40 women last week, playing off in the President versus Captain teams event.
The President’s team won by a small margin, 28.1 to 27.5.
Denise Harvey claimed the Division 1 competition with 36 points, from Di O’Donnell on 35 after a count-back with Karen Forster and Jan Shanahan.
Division 2 honours went to Libby Altschwager with 34 points from Lizzy Clements on 33.
Faye Mainwaring claimed the pro shot, while nearest the pin winners were A Grade’s Mainwaring, B Grade’s O’Donnell and C Grade’s Gloria Lennon.
A stroke event was set down for Saturday, with Trudy Johnson claiming the win with a score of nett 72, from Leanne Hunt with nett 74.
