THE young South Gambier line-up faces another huge test this weekend when it heads to Vansittart Park to take on the in-form Tigers in Round 6 of Western Border netball.

Stopping Grace Potts will be priority one as their former teammate continues to dominate the competition at goal shooter.

That task will fall to everyone, not just the circle defenders, while the mid-court also needs to curb the influence of Brianna Walters and Mel Renko.

These two players are are all class, boasting speed and smarts and rarely make an error with ball in hand.

That task will fall to the likes of Megan Reid, Tully McShane and Ruby Richter and they will need to be at their tight-checking best to hopefully make the feeds into Potts less accurate and allow their defenders to create some turnover ball.

Ellie Bouchier will be a key as the only Demons defender with the height to match Potts in the air.

At the other end of the court, the Demons will need to be patient with ball in hand to work their way through the defensive class of Noni McConnell and Mikaela Pitt.

Pitt and McConnell deny opponents time and space and never give up easy ball.

South goalers Gracie Dalton and Alyssa Duncan will need to work for each other to secure enough scoring opportunities to stay in touch on the scoreboard.

The form of North Gambier, given their new look line-up, has been outstanding and the Tigers should secure a comfortable victory.
