The Roosters showed their class as they sealed an emphatic win over Kongorong in Round 6 of Mid South Eastern netball.

Robe came out firing in the first quarter and forced lots of turnovers.

However, Kongorong’s defenders Evie Sealy and Emily Lightbody made Robe’s Demi Carter and Tori Gluyas work for every shot.

The Roosters took the ascendancy early and held an eight-goal lead at the first change.

Robe was relentless in its efforts as it continued to put the pressure on the Hawks.

Annie Regnier and Lucy Perkins combined well through the mid-court, feeding the ball with precision to an accurate Demi Carter and Gluyas in the circle.

Robe’s Halle Carter was making it hard for Kongorong to get the ball down the court, picking up any loose balls and making the most of any opportunity.

The Roosters extended their lead in the second quarter and went into the break with a 33-14 lead.

The third quarter was a bit more even with Kongorong’s shooters Riley and Tilah Buckingham shooting with accuracy and scoring 12 goals for the quarter, while Robe scored 15.

Robe’s defensive pressure from Georgia Perkins and Wheal made it hard for Kongorong’s goalies and kept them to scoring only six goals for the final quarter.

Robe’s attack line really dominated the play, with Demi and Halle Carter moving well, while Lucy Perkins and Regnier fed the ball effectively.

The Roosters were ultimately a class above as they ran out 37-goal victors.

Halle Carter and Georgia Perkins were in strong form and were best on court for Robe, while Riley Buckingham and Evie Sealey were the best players for Kongorong.
