NANGWARRY V HATHERLEIGH

Hatherleigh heads to Nangwarry this weekend to face off against the Saints in Round 6 of Mid South East netball.

Hatherleigh’s defensive line-up of Maddie Redman and Elly Redden will work tirelessly to shut down Nangwarry’s goal circle of Hayley Vanderhorst and Demi Hoffmeister. Nangwarry’s Cassie Dinnison and Brittany Dycer will look to control the mid-court to bring the ball down and feed their goalies, but they will be well matched by Erin Watson and Lara MacGregor.

Saints defenders Chrystal Lock and Kayla Gray will have their work cut out for them by Hatherleigh goalies Demi Vanderhorst and Maddie Pulmer and will need to work hard to secure any rebounds.

Hatherleigh will come away with the points in this game, despite some resistance from the Saints.

PORT MACDONNELL V TANTANOOLA

Port MacDonnell host Tantanoola this weekend in the match of the round.

Demons’ defenders Alysha Coon and Alana Berkefeld work tirelessly in the circle and will create issues for Tantanoola’s Keryl Ousey and Jami Walker.

Kate Varcoe and Casey Walker feed accurately into their goalies, but the pressure of Liza Mutch and Kate Faint will make that task more difficult, especially paired with the strength of Berkefeld and Coon.

Tantanoola’s defenders Kate Bromley and Tayla Rowe will keep up a strong level of defensive pressure and use this intensity to make it hard for the Demons goalies, Megan Hein and Kori Collins.

This game will be a tough battle and either team has the potential to finish the day with the win.

MOUNT BURR V GLENCOE

Mount Burr hosts Glencoe in what has the potential to be a close game.

Mount Burr’s mid-court combination of Laura Schultz and Ella Easterby combine well to feed their goalies, Lauren Wheeler and Ebony Clark.

Sarah Edwards and Chelsea Owen work well in the defensive circle for the Murphies, showing experience beyond their years and will create turnovers which will be guided back down the court by Donna Jaeschke.

Jaeschke and Alice Tentye feed well into their goalies, Jenna Paproth and Chantelle Cocks, who are both accurate shooters, able to convert from the Murphies’ turnovers.

Mount Burr’s Megan Thiele and Olivia Dean use their strength in the defensive circle for the Mozzies and are able to pick off high passes, creating opportunities for their team to score. This game will be a tough tussle, but Glencoe will likely come away with the win.

ROBE V KONGORONG

Kongorong heads to Robe to play off against the Roosters in round 6.

Riley Buckingham and Emily Lightbody fight tirelessly for the Hawks and will snatch up any loose balls or potential rebounds from Robe goalies Tori Gluyas and Demi Carter.

Kate Wright will work overtime for the Hawks on the attacking wing, both on the offensive and defensive, but Robe’s Ellen Ramke will make her earn every possession.

Down the other end Tilah Buckingham stands strong under the post and is paired well with Sarah Gardin in the goal circle.

Emma Wheal and Georgia Perkins work hard in the defensive circle for the Roosters and will create pressure and turnovers for their team, converting through their goalies with accuracy.

This game will likely go the way of the Roosters, but Kongorong will not let the win go without a tough battle.
