THE writing was on the wall early when Tantanoola hosted Nangwarry on Saturday.

The Saints scored on the first centre pass, but after that the home team went on a 13-goal shooting spree to set up its 46 goal win.

Nangwarry regrouped and continued to make the Tigers work hard but with only two shots missed for the quarter and Keryl Ousey shooting at 100 per cent, the going was tough for the Saints’ defence.

Ousey combined well with Jami Walker in the goal circle and the first break Tantanoola held a 23-7 goal lead.

Nangwarry’s Hayley Burner and Tantanoola’s Kate Varcoe provided experience and worked tirelessly through the mid court for their respective teams.

Tiger Tayla Rowe enjoyed her freedom at goal defence in the second half with several rejections, intercepts and strong rebounds.

Halftime saw Nangwarry make some changes with Cassie Dinnison providing some experience in the goal circle and Ella Jones moving to wing attack.

In the last quarter the Saints had their best output on the scoreboard, but it was not enough to quell the Tigers’ onslaught.

Rowe and Walker were best for Tantanoola, with Kayla Gray and Chrystal Lock the top performers for Nangwarry.
