KALANGADOO showed it has lost no desire in the 2023 Mid South East netball season, with a solid 23-goal win over Robe on Saturday.

The Magpies came out firing in the first quarter, with goalies Lara Munro and Abbey Duncan moving and shooting well.

Robe’s Tori Gluyas shot with accuracy, but Kalangadoo dominated and won the quarter 15-7.

The second quarter saw no changes and once again Kalangadoo dominated.

Robe began to make unforced errors, which saw balls picked off by Lauren Kain and Georgia Gentile at Kalangadoo’s defensive end.

The lead continued to blow out, which forced Robe made some changes at the main break.

Emily Hunter moved to goal defence, Annie Regnier to centre and Halle Cater to wing defence.

The Roosters came out firing and got the first couple of turnovers, with Hunter matching up well on Abbey Duncan and Robe’s Georgia Perkins getting her hands to a few balls at goal keeper.

However, Kalangadoo composed themselves and worked the ball down the court with ease.

Robe’s accuracy let them down and Kain and Gentile made the most of any rebound opportunity.

The final term was a more-even contest, but Kalangadoo were simply too strong and ran out comfortable victors.

Best players for Kalangadoo were Kain and Gentile, while Lucy Perkins and Demi Cater were best for Robe.
