GLENCOE V HATHERLEIGH

Hatherleigh heads to Glencoe for its first game of the 2023 Mid South East netball season to face off against the reigning premiers.

Glencoe’s Donna Jaeschke and Hatherleigh’s Erin Watson will have a tough tussle down the court, with both players fighting hard for every possession.

Eagle defenders Lara MacGregor and Maddie Redman will put the pressure on for Glencoe’s Jenna Paproth and Chantelle Cocks, getting hands to any loose balls.

Murphies’ Sarah Edwards and Chelsea Owen will fight to create turnovers in Hatherleigh’s shooting end, snapping up any missed shots.

Tegan Telfer will feed well into her goalies, utilising the space and working well with Watson outside the ring.

Both teams will fight hard for the win and this game could be close.

KONGORONG V PORT MACDONNELL

Kongorong hosts Port MacDonnell, with both teams hoping to get their first win on the board for the season.

Port MacDonnell’s Megan Hein and Kori Collins combine well in the goal circle, but Hawks defenders Riley Buckingham and Emily Lightbody will apply intense pressure and chase up any loose balls.

Port MacDonnell’s Kate Faint and Kongorong’s Ebony Lawson will fight hard for their respective sides through the court.

Kongorong goalies Tilah Buckingham and Sarah Gardin will need to move well in the circle under the tight pressure from Alana Berkefeld and Alysha Coon.

Both teams will fight hard for the entire four quarters, working to bring the win home for their respective teams.

ROBE V KALANGADOO

Kalangadoo heads to Robe to face off against a strong Roosters side.

Robe goalies Demi Carter and Tori Gluyas are strong within the goal circle and shoot with accuracy throughout the game.

Kalangadoo’s Lauren Kain will need to show leadership and guidance through the defensive end of the court, creating pressure and causing turnovers.

Down the other end Magpies Abbey Duncan and Ebony McDiarmid will need to move well and shoot with accuracy, to avoid any turnovers by Robe defenders Emma Grant and Georgia Perkins.

Annie Regnier and Emily Hunter’s strength around the circle will also create issues for the Kalangadoo attack line.

This will be another tough game with the potential to go either way.

MOUNT BURR V TANTANOOLA

Mount Burr hosts the Tantanoola in its first home game for the season.

Both teams will come out hard, fighting to get the points on the board.

Mount Burr’s Laura Schultz drives hard onto the circle and will feed her goalies, Ebony Clarke and Lauren Wheeler, with patience and accuracy.

Tantanoola’s goalie combination of Jami Walker and Keryl Ousey are both able to shoot accurately and will be fed well from outside the circle by Casey Walker and Kate Varcoe. Mount Burr defenders Megan Thiele and Olivia Dean will get their hands to any loose balls, and force turnovers from the Tigers with the added pressure from outside the circle from Simone Westerman.

Tantanoola is able to pull from a strong defensive line-up consisting of Emma Gould, Kate Bromley and Tayla Rowe, who all work hard and have a significant impact on the final score.

This is another game which could be close and has the ability to go either way. GLENCOE V HATHERLEIGH
