Bellinger tops at Lake Bonney

There were 63 shooters who took part in the latest Lake Bonney sporting clays shoot on Sunday.

The course was set up by Tom Weir and presented a wide array of targets which proved to be a challenge as no 25/25 badges were awarded.

The top honours went to Danny Bellinger with a score of 65/75.

Seniors winner Tony Sellars also recorded the same score but opted out of the shoot-off.

Dan Banning won AA Grade with a score of 60/75, ahead of Minyup shooter Doug Longmuir and Mick Banning.

Chris Von Stanke Junior claimed the win in A Grade, two targets ahead of Mick Brennan and Allan Cowin.

Cory Edwards took out the top spot in B Grade, while Casterton shooter Duncan Munro and Plum Werchon rounded out the podium.

Burrungule shooter Michael Gates won C Grade, ahead of Perry Gurney and Matt Collins.

Bob Jones was the winner in the Veteran’s grade with Ernie Scheidl and Wayne Evans taking the minor podium placings.

There were three Lake Bonney shooters who led the way in the women’s grade, with Tasha Bellinger, Bec Kober and Megan Whitehead leading the way.

Shak Von Stanke took out the juniors grade with no competition, while Charlie Sims won the sub-juniors grade ahead of Harry Simpson.
