Kent wins highgun in shoot-off

AA GRADE: Tim Widdison, Ron Rhook and Danny Bellinger.

THERE was a 75-target event held by the South East Field and Game Association recently which was sponsored by Nutrien Mount Gambier, Kain Transport and BOC Gases.

The event saw 88 shooters tackle the Ken Atkin-designed layout.

For the second month in a row, Greg Kessegian and Jeremy Kent finished the day all square on 71/75.

This meant a shoot-off was needed to decide the winner.

Kent used all of his previous shoot-off experience to claim his second highgun in as many months over Kessegian who had to settle for a category win in Seniors.

AA Grade also needed a shoot-off to decide the winner as Tim Widdison, Ron Rhook, Danny Bellinger and Joe Densley all tied on 68/75.

Widdison prevailed over Danny Bellinger to claim the win with Rhook rounding out the placings in third.

Declan Wright and Shakielle VonStanke also had to shoot off to determine a winner in the Junior category after both had shot 59/75.

Wright came out on top to claim the win.

The next event will be at Burrungule Park on April 26.
