IT was a quiet weekend for archery as the Blue Lake Archers had just one outdoor round of archery scored.

Corriedale Park was relatively low key on Sunday afternoon with two archers working on the practice range, while another three elected for a shorter distance triple distance event to clock up a scored round on the main range.

The breezy conditions on the field had been preceded by a few showers, the mediocre conditions prompted the choice of a short Canberra run over 50, 40 and 30 metres.

Anthony Cox was game to add his name to the list competitors even though the initial range of 50 metres was new territory for him.

A few practice shots had Cox good to go, accompanying Jeff Puckridge and Tamika Mullan on the main range.

Puckridge carded the best off the bow score but was unable to outpace his two fellow competitors in the adjusted scores.

Tamika Mullan made the day count and won the day by seven points.

Cox held on to the runner-up position and escaping from the clutches of Puckridge who was only two points off grabbing second place.

The Blue Lake Archers will be back in action tonight at the Blue Lake Gymnastics Club at 7pm and at Corriedale Park on Sunday at 12.30pm.

Results:

Tamika Mullan 884 (off the bow 829)

Anthony Cox 877 (740)

Jeff Puckridge 875 (840)
