Round 4 of Millicent/Naracoorte saw all four games abandoned due to the weather.

However, there were two games which saw at least some action take place before the rain began to fall.

Kingston made it to 5/35 off 13 overs against Millicent before play was halted.

Jacob Todd continued his impressive start to the season and took three wickets off seven overs.

Todd struck with just the third ball of the game when he bowled Kingston captain Mathew Cridland for a duck.

He was supported by Ashton Lindner, who took two wickets for the Blackcaps and the visitors found themselves on top before rain intervened.

Elsewhere, Rendlesham managed to bat for a full 40 overs against the Naracoorte Townies before the game was brought to an abrupt ending.

Brock Summerhayes claimed the early wicket of Ayden Reid, which brough Dylan Clough to the crease.

Clough took the game by storm and scored 88 runs off 86 deliveries in an inning which included six 4’s and three 6’s before he was dismissed LBW by Harry Schroder.

Rendlesham was also supported by Zach Jones and Jacob Carger, who both put in handy contributions before Brad Wight and Hugh Armfield scored runs rapidly to end the innings.

Wight scored 40 runs off 22 balls, while Armfield scored 23 runs off 11 balls.

The reigning premiers ended their inning with an impressive score of 5/240 before the game was abandoned.
