Despite the best efforts from the Cavaliers, they could not stop the onslaught as the scoreboard continued to turn over.

WEST 3 d DIVISION 2 TIGERS 1

Tigers were forced to use players from Divisions 1 and 3 due to injuries to key players.

The additions proved to show a spark and ultimately led to an early goal by Tim Boxall, who scored from a cross from Jesse Hewett.

After the initial goal, West kicked into gear and used their press to block the play in their attacking 50.

Eventually, the effort from West led to a Chris Calliss goal from a short corner.

Tigers’ Mathew Kain’s experience and skill provided useful in their efforts to transition the ball from defence into offence.

West opted to attack through the speed of Angus Aitken and Buzz Brennan.

Harry Robinson stepped up to the occasion and denied many chances in front of goal.

After a long stalemate, West managed to find the goal to gain the lead through a Gavin Robertson back stick.

Shortly after, West extended its lead to two goals thanks to a composed Jack Leishman who one-touched a cross past the keeper.

Robinson made a number of saves for the rest of the game as he denied West a fourth goal.

An ineffective clearance from Redbacks, gave Tigers a fourth goal through Abbey Hood, and the lead going into the final quarter.
