A ROAD trip to McLaughlin Park looms large for West Gambier tomorrow.

The Roos visit Millicent for Round 13 of Western Border football and will be full of confidence after a win over North last round.

A big fourth-quarter effort won the game for West in the end, after little separated the sides throughout the contest.

However, the Saints will be a greater challenge.

Despite a couple of hiccups against South Gambier, the reigning premiers have not dropped a game to any other team in 2022.

Last time the sides met Millicent was able to wrestle its way to a nine-point win in wet and muddy conditions.

It was difficult to gauge much from that clash and it sets up an interesting rematch.

Back in Round 3 the Saints accounted for West by 59 points, but the Roos seem to be a more settled roster now.

Lawry Bradley-Brown will be the danger man and he will look to back himself after a best-on-ground effort against North.

Nathan Taylor and Jordan Williams both had their sights locked in front of goal and were also vital in the result, while Lewis Lean and Kyle Giddings are in red-hot form.

For the Saints Dylan Bromley comes off an eight-goal performance, while Kade Bradley continues to show his versatility as an attacking defender.

The result will do little to impact Millicent’s standing, with it locked firmly in second place on the ladder.

However, it will remain hungry for the win and West will be hard pressed for victory.
