Understaffed Roosters in the hot seat

Port MacDonnell and Kalangadoo will go head-to=head this weekend in Round 12 of Mid South East netball.

Hatherleigh v Robe

Hatherleigh hosts Robe this weekend in the Mid South East netball match of the round.

After losing Tori Gluyas to an ankle injury last weekend, Robe’s Sarah Laurie and Demi Carter will have to work hard in the goal circle, moving and shooting with accuracy.

Lara MacGregor and Demi Vanderhorst’s pressure in the circle will force Robe to make every possession count.

The tussle between Tegan Telfer and Annie Hunter down the court will be tough, with both players fighting hard for the ball.

Both have a good drive down the court and feed their goalies accurately.

Hatherleigh’s Maddie Pulmer and Abby Wight will combine well and shoot with accuracy but Emma Grant and Georgia Perkins will fight for every rebound.

With changes having been made to both teams since last round, this game could go either way.

Glencoe v Nangwarry

Second-placed Glencoe takes on the winless Nangwarry at home.

Nangwarry took it up to Hatherleigh for the first quarter last week but are struggling to string four quarters together.

Glencoe will utilise the strength of Sarah Edwards and Chantelle Cocks in their defensive circle to put the pressure on for Nangwarry’s Tahlia Wilson and Ange Pratt.

Any turnovers by Glencoe will be transitioned smoothly down the court to Jenna Paproth and Malinda Markiewicz in the goal circle.

Shannon Higgins and Carly Ploenges will work hard for the Saints to turn balls over and give their goalies an opportunity to score.

Glencoe will come away with the points at the end of the game.

Kongorong v Mount Burr

Mount Burr head down to Kongorong to face off against the Hawks and with both teams coming off losses last week, they will be eager to get more points on the board.

Mount Burr’s Madi Haggett and Olivia Dean will apply pressure in the defensive circle, making Tilah Buckingham and Evie Sealey earn every possession and goal.

Down the other end of the court, Riley Buckingham and Sarah Lucas will work tirelessly to curb the influence of Ebony Clark’s accuracy, combined with Zoe Brown in goals.

Both Rach Perry and Laura Schultz will work the ball down the court for their respective teams and will feed the ball with accuracy into their goalies.

After a well fought game, Mount Burr will come away with the win.

Port MacDonnell v Kalangadoo

Port MacDonnell will host Kalangadoo this weekend, with the Demons well rested after a bye.

Port MacDonnell’s Kirby Carrison and Toni Williams combine well in the goal circle but the pressure of Kalangadoo’s Reanna Wetherall and Lauren Kain will be hard to battle.

Alana Winter’s height and strength in the Demon’s defensive circle will be key in shutting down the accurate shooting of Abbey Duncan and Kori Collins.

Jayde Peacock and Liza Mutch will have a good tussle through the mid-court.

Peacock has strong drive to the circle and will feed her goalies with accuracy, with pressure applied by Demons Mutch and Jess Lynch.

Kalangadoo will finish the game with another win.
