Mount Burr used a fast start against hatherleigh to claim set up a victory in Round 10 of Mid South East netball on Saturday.

The Mozzies won the toss and took the centre pass which saw them first on the scoreboard.

They applied pressure early which forced the home side to fumble and create errors.

By the first break Mount Burr had created a six-goal lead to set the foundations of victory.

Hatherleigh came out with a lot of fight and intensity in the second term, in what panned out as a more even quarter.

Ebony Clark found plenty of space in the goal circle for the Mozzies, which saw her convert easily to keep the scoreboard ticking over, while the mid-court match-up between Erin Watson and Laura Schultz proved to be a great tussle.

Hatherleigh stepped up its defensive pressure, which saw them gain the ball and convert but Mount Burr remained in control.

The link between Clark, Schultz and Madi Haggett proved to be dangerous and unstoppable and the Mozzies went to the main break up by seven goals.

The Eagles made multiple changes at the break which seemed to work.

Demi Vanderhorst and Abby Wight started combining well in the goal circle and were able to find better space and convert as the Eagles began to chip away at the deficit.

A few defensive pickups for the home side and some great touches from Chelsea Galpin helped change the momentum but Mount Burr went to the last break leading by eight.

Hatherleigh continued to apply full-court pressure in the final term but Mount Burr played with control and smarts.

Clark had a huge last term with 14 goals, which saw her outscore the home side, who managed to add 12 goals to the board.

In the end the Mozzies were too strong and claimed a comfortable victory.

Schultz and Clark were named best for the victors, while Vanderhorst and Galpin were best for Hatherleigh.
