Baseball Masters returning to Blue Lake

THE 15th annual Mount Gambier Baseball Masters tournament will take place this weekend at Blue Lake Sports Park.

The tournament will see nine teams take part including six teams from Adelaide, two from Mount Gambier and one from Victoria.

The Mount Gambier Legends will host the event, with the Mount Gambier Tigers also competing.

The competition has been separated into three pools.

Pool A consists of Adelaide Aces B, Mount Gambier Tigers and Northern Aces Blue.

Pool B will see Adelaide Aces A, Playford City and Diamond Dogs compete, while the Legends, Adelaide L’aces and Northern Aces Grey will contest Pool C.

The first game will commence at 6:15 tonight between Adelaide L’aces and the Legends.

Thirteen games will be played tomorrow with the first game starting at 8:00am with the final game to take place at 8:30pm.

The final game of competition takes place on Sunday where teams will be competing for medallions.

A round of three cross-pool games will commence at 8:00am before the final series begins at 9:45am.

The playoff for the bronze medals will begin at 1:30pm on Diamond Two, while the battle for the gold and silver medals will take place on Diamond One at 1:15pm.
