The South-Eastern region faced difficult competition at the 2022 MGA Country Round Robin bowls series at Lockley’s Bowling Club in Adelaide.

The Lower South East team had a strong representation from all across the region with players from 11 different clubs taking part.

It was a difficult weekend for the women’s team who won just one of their seven games.

Their win came against Eyre Peninsula in Round 6, with Lower South East claiming a 79-60 victory.

It was a strong performance across the competition for Heather Richards, Chris Murphy, Ann Ratsch and Di Scott, as the team claimed five rink-wins.

The men’s team was competitive across the weekend and finished fifth in the eight-team competition.

Their tournament got off to a difficult start as they lost their opening three games.

However, a change in fortunes followed as they won three out of their final four games to end the series on a high.

The best performers were Brad Errock, Ian Williams, Peter Roachock and Dean Burgoyne who claimed four rink-wins across the competition.
