Ready to go racing

SCRUTINEERING READY FOR THE UPPER SNUGGERY RALLY: Roger Saunders, of Mount Gambier, and Millicent's Bill Davis last week scrutineered cars for the event to ensure all safety requirements were met.

A WIDE range of high performance cars are competing in the Upper Snuggery Racing Team’s rally which started yesterday.

With the rally run over a week, about 20 competitors will race around both Mallala and The Bend race tracks as well competing at the historic Collingrove hill climb in the first part of the week.

The event then moves closer to home in the second half of the week with competition at the Millicent airport and sale yards as well as the Beachport scenic drive.

A broad range of cars will be competing in the event including a Camaro, two Porsches, GT Falcons and even Holden utes.

Participants include well known local identities such as Mark and Heather Ferguson, Alex Bohner and Trevor Rayson and Ben and Amanda Treloar.
