WHILE numbers were down slightly for last week’s Millicent Bowls Club’s 2-4-2 competition, 33 players still hit the greens for the weekly event.
After completing 20 ends of bowls, victory went to the pair of Lorraine Hyland and Iain Campbell with a score of 33+19.
Runners-up were Derreck Lindh and John Scudds with a score of 33+14.
Other winning teams: Heather Carthew/Neil Whelan 32+18; Peter Bateman/Malacolm Wright 32+16; Jan Buhlmann/Andre Reinders 32+12; Arthur O’Connell/Derek Pietersma 32+10; Garry Wilson/Steve Carnellor 31+6; Merle Stevens/Frank Cooper 29+2.
Meanwhile, club president Peter Hyland congratulated Brian Roper, Andre Reinders and David Reichelt on their Lower South East Bowls Association, Champions of Champions Triples win at Naracoorte.
