AFTER a big weekend of racing for the Speedway Karts Association of Australia national titles, the Borderline Speedway again roars into action this weekend.

Round 9 of the Allstars 360 Sprintcars Series headlines the card, along with the SA Modlite title and Classics.

The All Star Series heads to Mount Gambier on the back of four weekends straight through Victoria and New South Wales.

“Mount Gambier has always been one of our favourite tracks and after missing out running there last season due to Covid, we are rapt to be back,” promoter Mandy Searle said.

Currently sitting at the top of the point’s leader board is the Mildura-based McClure Racing with Brad Warren at the helm.

Warren picked up his first series A Main win at Horsham recently and the team will look to add to that.

In Charge Racing’s Jordyn Charge has also picked up an A Main win and been on the podium three times and is strong every time he hits the track.

Charge currently sits in second place, ahead of Paul Solomon.

With just two more shows before the season is done, points will be a major focus for all teams.

Caruso brothers Mark and Steven will bring plenty of confidence after a one-two finish at Mildura last Saturday, with Steven taking out the win and Mark in second.

South Australian Lisa Walker has leased a 360 and lined up on the front row last weekend at Mildura for her effort.

She has plenty of experience at the Borderline Speedway this season and should fly the flag well for the women.

Meanwhile, the Modlites are sure to provide plenty of action as drivers vie for state honours.

Current Australian champion Sam Gollschewsky headlines the category and will travel down from Queensland to compete.

In 2017, at 28 years-of-age, he purchased his first Modlite and went from there.

Last year he claimed his first Australian title at Murray Bridge and will be one to watch on Saturday night.

Likewise, fellow Queenslander, 48-year-old Terry Leerentveld will also be on the pace.

After claiming his first state title in NSW back in 2014, Leerentveld went on to claim consecutive Australian titles in 2015-16.

he is the current SA title holder and will look to go back-to-back at the Borderline Speedway.

Meanwhile, leading the charge against the Queenslanders is South Australian Michael Miller, along with many others to keep the visitors honest.

With the Classics included as supports, the night is set to provide plenty of action for spectators.

Gates open at 4pm, with action to kick off from 5pm.
