THE prestigious Mount Gambier Bowls Club Singles were played last week, with Kristy Errock claiming back-to-back Women’s titles.
Errock entered the competition as the defending champion and qualified for the final of this year’s event with wins over Kathryn Gray and Di Harris.
Errock’s opponent in the final was Beryl Versluis who defeated Leanne Hentschke in the lead-up.
The final saw Errock off to a good start to win the first three ends.
Versluis scored a three on the fourth end to tie the match up which saw the game locked up at 11-11 after 15 ends.
Errock dominated the next eight ends to lead 20-13 but with Versluis winning the next three the score was 20-18 in favour of the defending champ.
With the result in the balance Errock lifted her game to win 26-19 claiming back to back singles titles giving her the opportunity to defend the Association and Region titles she won last year.
