MILLICENT Bowling Club Night Owls was saddened to hear of the recent passing of member Lynda McRobert, who had a keen nature for bowls.
The club sends its condolences to the McRobert family and friends.
In last week’s competition, three touches were achieved from Robin Thomas from Scrappers, Dez King from Pluto Beetles, Peter Gregurke from Rotary Scott Lonergan from Sparkies, George Hobson from Lion Cubs, Paul Bosco from Try Hards, Simon Laslett from Lions Roar and Linda Hamilton from Awesome Foursome.
In Red Division, Sparkies with Chris Earl, Scott Lonergan, Terry Lonergan and Bob Reilly defeated Somerset Legends 28+11.
Other winners were Rovers 27+4, Tant Tigers 27+3, Jack Attack 25+6 and Bits and Pieces 241.
In the Blue Division, Awesome Foursome made up of Mary Clifford, Linda Hamilton, Derek Bowering and Allan Webster defeated Lion Rams 28+16.
Other winners were Try Hards 28+7 and Rotary 27+6, while Birdies and Somery Seniors had a draw with 15 and 17 points.
In the White Division, the Pups made up of Sam Kent, Jez Jones, Luke Ferguson and Todd Craig defeated Gizzies Crew 27+12.
Other winners were Beanz Team 27+5 and Scrappers 27+2.
Bedford Butterflies had a forfeit from Mayura Mob, while Sunnies and Lion Cubs drew on 16.
The competition now has a break until Wednesday, January 5 due to the Christmas and New Year’s extended holidays.
