A HUGE field of 144 players enjoyed the Millicent Bowls Club greens last week for the Night Owls competition.
In a game for all age groups, plenty of young players have taking up the sport alongside more senior campaigners.
Touches went to Graham Arney (Lion Cubs) 3, Stephen Skeer (Rovers) 3 and Eathan Glass (Max’s Four) 3.
This week saw a curve ball thrown, with a draw between Red teams Mossies and Rovers.
Mossies (Jim Hyland, Peter Hyland, Gary Wilson and Graham Abbot) defeated the Beetles 28+10, while Rovers (Rodger Buckmaster, Stephen Skeer, John Buhlmann and Mick Pedler) defeated the Sparkies 28+10.
Other winners were Untouchables 28+7, Bits and pieces 27+7 and Max’s Four 26+2.
In Blue division, Awesome Foursome’s Nipper Horne, Derek Bowering, David Botting and Allan Webster defeated Maccas 29+9.
Other winners were Lions 28+9, Grand Hotel 28+3, Try Hards 27+9, Lion Rams 17 and Rotary 15.
in White division, Lion Cubs (George Hobson, Robert Dunn, Graham Arney and Keith Field) defeated Bedford Butterflies 29+14.
Other winners were Sunnies 29+10, Scrappers 27+3, The Pups 27+1 and Beanz Team 26+2.
