PENOLA Bowls Club held its Ladies Championship Fours last week, with the team of Kathy Brooks, Lyn Brodie, Kay Fennell and Gerardine Williams taking out the title over Liz Copping, Wendy Lowe, Gail Hetherington and Jo Carlin.
The Friday Division 1 pennant team went down by a narrow margin of two shots, 46-48 against Kingston, while Division 2 had a good win over Beachport Red in windy conditions by 42 shots, 63-21.
Division 3 lost to Lucindale by 12 shots, 43-55.
Saturday’s Open Division 2 side had a good win over neighbouring town Kalangadoo by 15 shots 76-61, Division 3 lost to Frances by 28 shots, 58-86 and Division 4 had a good win over Kingston Blue by 43, shots 89-46.
This week the Friday women’s Division 1 side travels to Naracoorte, while Division 2 and 3 both play Robe at home.
On Saturday Division 2 travels to Naracoorte RSL, Division 3 hosts Naracoorte and Division 3 plays at home.
The Club Championship Mixed Pairs will be played on Sunday December 5 starting at 9.30am.
