BACK ON THE FLOOR: Shakera Reilly has re-signed with the OneFortyOne Pioneers women for the 2022 NBL1 South season.

THE OneFortyOne Pioneers this week announced Shakera Reilly has re-signed with the team to join the growing roster for the 2022 NBL1 South season.

Reilly joins 2021 captain Jasmin Howe, Johanna Jones, Sherrie Calleia and Sophie Miles for another year.

Head coach Matt Sutton said he was pleased to again work with Reilly after a stellar 2021 season.

“It is great to have Shakera recommit for 2022,” he said.

“She was our best defensive player last season and brings a lot of versatility to our group at both ends of the court.

“Shak is a natural leader who connects well with her teammates and is loved by our community.

“She sets a great example with her work rate and a no fuss attitude to her hoops.”

Reilly averaged close to 34 minutes of court time each game in 2021 and contributed 11.53 points per game, shooting at 35.53 per cent from the field, with 5.46 rebounds per game.
