LONG-TIME player and captain Tom Daly is the latest to sign up for the Castec Rural Pioneers for the 2022 NBL1 South basketball season.
Daly has been a successful Pioneer for eight seasons, including the last four as captain.
He is an excellent all-round player and leader and is often in league MVP contention.
In the 2021 NBL1 season, Daly averaged 18.38 points per game, 4.23 assists and 4.30 rebounds and was the Pioneers’ top points scorer in the competition.
Pioneers head coach Richard Hill acknowledged Daly has been an integral part of the Pioneers previous successes and remains perfectly placed to help lead the club to further triumphs.
“Tom showed that he is still one of the leading guards in the competition with a tremendous 40-point game in our win against highly ranked Geelong, in Geelong,” Hill said.
“There remains a lot that he can still achieve.”
Daly will be sponsored by one of the Pioneers Basketball Club’s corporate partners, UniSA Mount Gambier Campus.
