IT was a mixed bag for Mount Gambier’s TAB Country Cup contenders He’s All Purpose and Rough Pearl who went around Angle Park on Monday in preparation for Friday week’s $7500 final on Adelaide Cup night.

Meningie owner-trainer Tim Richards would have been more than happy with the effort of his promising youngster He’s All Purpose who led all the way in the Sky Racing Juvenile Stake over 530 metres for a length win in 30.74 seconds.

Worrolong-trained Rough Pearl was slowly away from box three for Lee Bartholomew in the Follow The DogsSA on Twitter Stake (530m).

He then found trouble in running before finishing 9½ lengths fourth in a winning time of 30.86 seconds.
