PONY trots driver Marnee Formosa will look for a win tonight when she drives crowd favourite Buddy Boom Boom around the Greenwald Paceway.

Formosa has had “Buddy” for around four years, who originated from the Melbourne area.

The black and brown gelding stands 8.2 hands high, likes carrots and lucerne hay, along with water mixed with molasses.

Formosa said the biggest achievements for Buddy was winning the 2018 Mount Gambier Pony Trots Gold Cup and placing second in the Inter Dominion the same year at Tabcorp Park.

She said she hopes Buddy can continue to race for many more years.

At 14 years of age Formosa races in red with a black star, plus black sleeves with red stars.

She enjoys fruit salad and lemonade and her favourite television show is NCIS.

She enjoys watching movies, calisthenics, netball and plays women’s football for Kongorong.

Formosa has also raced Slim Dusty and Poppin Pepe, with her most memorable moment winning the last race of the 2019/19 season.

She said one of her greatest achievements was winning on Poppin Pepe.

In harness racing circle Formosa looks up to her Pa, Des Glynn, who she said knows a lot and is a good teacher.

She hopes to become a better driver than last season.
