EAST Gambier was impressive at the weekend against Casterton Sandford, dominating the first three quarters to secure a 30-goal win.

The Bulldogs host South Gambier this weekend, with the Demons not only coming off two disheartening losses, but also missing personnel.

Shooter Georgia Hood is out, along with juniors Tara Bryant and Alyssa Duncan, which will test South’s depth, especially with injured utility Tori McIntyre still sidelined.

Those outs make it hard to mount a case for South Gambier, but defenders Brandi Bouchier and Alyce Pearce-Raisin have worked well as a defensive duo.

If Alyssa Boylan returns she will bring some needed leadership to the court.

Imogen Walker has had to shoulder a huge load and will be the main focal point in the shooting circle.

She will possibly team up with Jess Earle, who will need to hold strongly when she matches up on Jacinta Clark, one of the most agile defenders in the competition.

Tenille Gray looms large and with Brittany Ross also starting to work her way into Western Border action, the Demons will need to deny that duo supply through some solid defensive effort from

Boylan, Riley Buckingham and Claudia Edmonds through the mid court.

Tarsh McCallum and Tyne Bosko have had an impressive couple of weeks defensively, but also bringing the ball through the mid court.

Sara Smith is always consistent and works hard for four quarters.

East should win the match as they look to build after a slow start to the season.
