MOUNT BURR v PORT MACDONNELL

MID South East netball promises to throw up some more exciting contests in round four this weekend, with the Mount Burr v Port MacDonnell game no exception.

Mount Burr comes off a confidence boosting win against Kongorong last week, but this week faces a tough Demons unit.

Sophie Roach and Toni Gilmore have been on song for Port MacDonnell and have been fed with precision by Cody Manning and Tegan Merrett.

Mount Burr’s Ebony Clark and Hayley Agnew are a great goalie combination, but Ashley Allen and Megan Hein are a hard defensive unit and any missed opportunity will be swiftly delivered back to Roach and Gilmore.

Mount Burr’s young brigade are improving each week, but the Demons should be too strong this week and claim the points.

KALANGADOO v KONGORONG

KALANGADOO suffered a rare loss last week at the hands of Glencoe and will want to atone for that result.

The Magpies have been a dominant side in the competition for many years and Kongorong is sure to feel the full force of last week’s result as they chase a confidence boosting win.

Kongorong has shown signs of form, but have not been able to string four quarters together.

Hawk Emily Lightbody will have a tough match up against the height and strength of Magpie Ebony McDiarmid and will need to work hard to limit her opportunities.

With the desire to save face on the line, Kalangadoo will be too strong across the whole court and will come away with the win.

TANTANOOLA v GLENCOE

TANTANOOLA suffered a four-goal loss Good Friday against Robe and has struggled to replace Emma Gould in their lineup.

Jamie Walker is consistent in goals and the Tigers needs to find a player to work alongside her.

Victoria Lucas plays well in centre and the match up with Donna Jeaschke will be one to watch.

Murphies’ goal attack Jenna Paproth and goal defence Kate Bromley are both experienced and will work hard for their respective sides.

Glencoe comes off that win over powerhouse Kalangadoo and will be too strong and claim a comfortable win.

NANGWARRY v HATHERLEIGH

HATHERLEIGH has enjoyed two weeks off the court and coach Melissa McGrath will look to get back on the winner’s list after a loss to Port MacDonnell last time out.

The Eagles defensive end is a strong combination and will limit opportunities for Saints’ Emilee Stokker and Demi Gray.

Sarah Faulkner is the conduit from defence to attack for her side and the Saints will need to stop her influence on the game.

Nangwarry will push Hatherleigh for the first half, but expect the Eagles to come home strongly and claim the victory.
