THE K&S Fuels player of the week once again had no shortage of options, with plenty of players putting their hands up for the top honours.

It was a big round for all, with the annual Anzac Day fixture kicking proceedings off on Thursday, as North Gambier hosted South Gambier at Vansittart Park.

The grand final rematch was also conducted at McDonald Park between East Gambier and Millicent, which was expected to be a tight contest.

Down at Island Park Casterton Sandford hosted a resurgent West Gambier, with the Cats chasing their first win after a disappointing loss to South Gambier in the opening round.

Along the way there were plenty of top individual performances which stood out, including Lawry Bradley-Brown cutting loose down at Island Park.

Bradley-Brown has been a consistent performer for the Roos and continues that form this season, with more support around the ground.

The Bulldogs controlled their game against the Saints, with Millicent putting up a fight, but unable to run with East for the whole game.

John Forster had a cracker of a game for the Bulldogs, winning the other major award this week, while the likes of coach Matt Willson again used his left foot to good effect.

The big game at Vansittart Park turned out to be somewhat of a fizzer, with the Tigers running rampant after half time.

Once again it was coach Justin McConnell who did the damage on the scoreboard, with seven major scores.

However, it was the runners such as Hamish Telford who delivered those opportunities up forward with pace and accuracy.

Telford claimed the coveted Tony Casadio medal for best on ground and is a deserved winner of the K&S Fuels award this week.
