WHILE the majority of sporting events have a break this weekend for the Easter holiday, Mid South East netball continues with the good Friday game at Robe tomorrow.
Robe hosts Tantanoola in the only fixture in the split round, with the remaining three games to be played the following week.
Tantanoola is fresh off the bye, with most players rested up well for the round-three clash.
However, a season-ending injury to talented youngster Emma Gould means the Tigers will need to rethink their circle line up.
They have not secured a win yet this season and will desperately want to change that tomorrow.
In the other camp, Robe has also failed to secure a win this season and will have a tough challenge ahead if that is to change.
Annie Hunter has been a great pick up for the Roosters in the mid court, but she will find it tough against Victoria Lucas who has moved into that position for Tantanoola.
Kate Bromley never lets her side down in defence and will cause headaches for the Robe goalies.
Round one saw Robe go down to Mount Burr by 10 goals in the only win so far for the Mozzies, who were comprehensively defeated by Glencoe in round two.
Last week the Roosters suffered at the hands of the reigning premier Kalangadoo to the tune of 31 goals.
In contrast Tantanoola’s only game – a round one clash also against the Magpies – saw a 12-goal defeat, leaving Kalangadoo as one of only three teams undefeated.
Just one position separates the two sides on the ladder, with the Tigers in seventh place, just ahead of the Roosters.
Both will want to break the season drought tomorrow and clearly one will remain win-less when the final whistle blows.
While it is early in the season, Tantanoola looks to be the stronger of the two sides and should claim the win.
