KYBYBOLITE will fire up tomorrow for round three of the Limestone Coast Women’s Football League season.

The trend of big wins appears to remain on the table for the round, with some blowouts expected yet again.

However, the day will be opened by an intriguing clash, as South Gambier and Penola go head-to-head for the first time.

Both teams have shown form this season, with the Demons sitting undefeated in second on the ladder, while the Eagles have a level record heading into the game, with a win and a loss.

East Gambier out-ran Penola last week and it will need to lift its pace to contend with the 2017 premiers.

South has had two convincing victories and comes off the back of a 73-point triumph over Glencoe.

The Murphies were left scoreless in that match and the Eagles will need to be wary of their opponent’s scoring power.

Kendell Saffin has led the way both rounds for the Demons, with four goals in round one and three last week, while Jasmine White and Chelsea Frost have also found the big sticks on both occasions.

Toneya Carraill was the best player for the side last week, with two goals to show and will be out to back up her performance.

For Penola Angela Broad will be eager to replicate her five-goal haul from the opening round, while the likes of Karmel Finch and Amanda Wurst will also hope to perform.

Match two should be another close encounter, with Casterton Sandford and Glencoe locking horns.

The Cats won the first game in their inaugural season last week, with a come-from-behind victory over North Gambier.

They will hope to carry that form into tomorrow’s clash, with Glencoe yet to post a win this year.

Madison Mutch and Erin Munro will be out to perform again for the Cats, while for Glencoe the likes of Chloe Pfitzner and Sarah Edwards will hope to back up their best player efforts from last week.

The third game of the day will see North take on Mundulla, in a match which will likely be the first blowout of the day.

The Mount Gambier based Tigers will have a big task on their hands, with Mundulla showing good form early in its inaugural season.

It will be eager to bounce back from a defeat to Kybybolite last week, with North on the chopping block for its retaliation.

Tayla Lowe was best for North last week and will be relied on again, but Mundulla will be tough to beat with a more even lineup.

It can be expected for Millicent to surge ahead on the leaderboard again this week, with a round three meeting against Kalangadoo.

Although the Magpies have only played one game this season after a bye last week, their narrow win over a struggling Glencoe suggests the Saints will have the edge heading into the match.

The likes of Ella Little, who kicked five goals last week, plus Kimberley Varcoe, Kelsie Wilkinson and Kristie Rowe all come off the back of solid performances and the depth of the Millicent roster will likely be on show again.

For Kalangadoo, Eva Bonde, Jamie Ryan and Bianca Thorn were best in round one and will be looked to again this week.

Tomorrow’s final game will see reigning premiers Kybybolite take on the win-less West Gambier/Port MacDonnell.

Kybybolite kicked its season off with a big win over Mundulla last week, while the Roos have suffered two convincing defeats and will head into the round as the underdogs.

Hayley Sellars banged through four goals for the reigning premiers last week, while Casey McElroy was best-on-ground for the game.

For West/Port it was a demoralising 113-point loss to Millicent which saw it carry a 0-2 record into round three.

The only major for the match was kicked by Ebony Lawson, with the best player honours going her way as well.

The Roos will need to lift if they are to stand a chance against Kybybolite, but it will take a big turn around to prevent a third consecutive loss.
