Interschool swimming success

PROUD GROUP: The Penola High School students who helped the combined schools team to finish sixth at last Friday’s Interschool swimming carnival at Bordertown.

PENOLA High School students travelled to Bordertown to compete at the Interschool Swimming Carnival last Friday.

The Penola swimmers joined students from Millicent and Naracoorte High School to form a combined schools team, which finished sixth overall.

Jake Klemm’s victory in the Under 15 male freestyle, Jesse Martin’s second place in the Open male breaststroke and a third place in the Under 14 male freestyle for Lochy Neale were some of the individual highlights for the day.

The teamwork of the combined schools side was displayed after places were achieved in the Under 14 female, Under 14 male, Under 15 female and Open male freestyle relays.

Overall places: Tenison Woods College 1; Grant High School 2; Bordertown High School 3; Saint Martins Lutheran College 4; Mount Gambier High School 5; Combined Schools 6.
