BALANCING AN EXCITING FUTURE: Gymnastics instructor’s Kayley Irvine, Andrew Thorne and Alicia O’Brien look forward to an exciting 2019 at the Millicent Gymnastics Club.

MILLICENT Gymnastics Club is prepared for an exciting year in 2019.

Thanks to last year’s Active Club Grant, the club will have the exciting additions of a new acromat, new vaulting run and two new beam covers.

These additions have fulfilled the club’s equipment goals for last year and continue to provide a fully equipped gymnasium for new and past students to enjoy.

Alicia O’Brien will continue in her role as Kindergym leader for the babies to five-year-old children on Monday and Thursday mornings, as well as coaching the four and five year-old Tiny Tots on Monday afternoon’s and hopes to introduce a Friday morning session as well.

Kate Farana will continue with her after-school gym skills classes on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons and would like to continue her successful adult’s gymnastics classes in term two.

Andrew Thorne and ex-gymnast Kayley Irvine will take over the girl’s competition squad for 2019 and has introduced a new format, with the class now training on Sunday afternoons.

Any girls interested in joining the competition squad or who want more information about the classes can contact the club on 8733 4884.

The kindergym classes will resume from Thursday January 31, general classes on Sunday February 3 and gym skills classes on Tuesday February 5.
