LIMESTONE Coast motorsport fans were treated to a full night of racing at the Borderline Speedway Friday night and would not have been disappointed.

The program was headlined by the South Australian Speedcar titles, with no shortage of action across the 25-strong field.

In the end it was a storming drive from Matt Jackson to claim the honours in the A Main, ahead of Travis Mills and Nathan Smee.

Also on the program was the Street Stocks Blue Lake Classic, plus round one of the Wingless Sprints Summer Slam.

From the outset of the Speedcar titles it was evident the crowd would be treated to some wild action, with Todd Wigzell rolling is way along the catch fence through turn three, before emerging safely and returning to the pits under his own steam.

However, his car was a little worse for wear.

Throughout the heats there was plenty of entertainment, with the likes of Harley Bishop showing the power of the little of the Speedcars as he squirmed his way through turn two, lifting a front wheel under power.

Smee and Mills showed plenty of pace in their respective heats, but it was the former who lit up the course in heat five, with a comfortable victory, while Mills had to be satisfied with third place.

By the time the A Main feature race had arrived the crowd was primed for some fast and furious action.

Bishop led the field, alongside Smee, with Mills off third spot on the grid.

Jackson sat back in ninth place and was forced to work hard through the race to make up valuable positions.

After 10 laps Jackson had moved up to fourth spot and began to home in on the top three.

With seven laps remaining he claimed the lead and was never headed again.

Mills and Smee pushed hard to remain in touch, but in the end had to settle for second and third respectively.
