DIVISION 1 – MOUNT GAMBIER 90/14 d NARACOORTE RSL 59/2

MOUNT Gambier’s Division 1 bowls team travelled to Naracoorte RSL and returned home with the spoils of a victory.

The overall win was set up by Gary McIntyre, Steve Farrell, Peter Reppin and Daniel Langdon who dominated their game with a score of 42-11 over the Greg Marks led team.

But the other two rinks were nail-biting affairs which both came down to the last bowl in each game.

Gary Hocking, Peter Radley, Ian VonStanke and Greg Carpenter scraped through with a tight 23-22 win over a gallant Joe McGrath four.

Unfortunately Tony Bowditch’s team could not manage a Division 1 clean-sweep for the away side after his rink lost by just one shot, 25-26 to Jon Buckley’s combination.

But with two wins, Mount Gambier defeated Naracoorte RSL 90/14 to RSL 59/2.

DIVISION 2 – NARACOORTE 71/14 d MOUNT GAMBIER 68/2

THE Division 2 side also went to Naracoorte but could not manage the overall victory.

Despite the victorious effort from Eddie Otter, Marika Heaver, Darryl Raneberg and Leanne Hentschke, it could not cover the defeats on the other two rinks and as a result Mount Gambier trailed at the end of the game.

DIVISION 3 – MOUNT GAMBIER 73/14 d MILLICENT RED 64/2

Successful rinks for the Scott Wilson and Kirsty Errock led teams saw the Division 3 team defeat Millicent Red on home soil 73/14 to 64/2.

DIVISION 4 RED – NARACOORTE 67/13 d MOUNT GAMBIER 58/3

THE Division 4 Red team was also home to Naracoorte, but a win from Ron Kuhl’s four was unable to cover the loss on the other rink as the hosts went down to the visitors 58/3 to 67/13.

DIVISION 4 BLUE – ROBE 85/16 d MOUNT GAMBIER 46/0

DIVISION 4 Blue travelled to Robe and were no match for the seasiders who dominated on all three rinks to command the game against Mount Gambier 85/16 to 46/0.
