MAGPIE LEADER: The Kalangadoo Football Club has reappointed Chris Mules as its coach for 2019.

CLUB stalwart Chris Mules will continue as the Kalangadoo Football Club coach for 2019.

Mules is also the club vice-president and took the Magpies into third place this season.

This is his second stint as Kalangadoo coach as he was previously at the helm from 2009-2010.

Kalangadoo president Adam Box has welcomed the reappointment of the rugged, utility player.

“The club is absolutely delighted that Chris will continue in the role because as he has the full respect of the playing group,” Box said.

“We feel that the club is in a massively positive position to improve on our third place finish this year.

“Recruiting discussions have been positive and the current 2018 playing group have committed for next season.

“We will also have another exciting announcement to make in the coming week.

“The Kalangadoo Football Club would also like to congratulate both Darren Ousey (coach) and Aaron Illsley (assistant coach) who have been appointed to lead the Kalangadoo Women’s Football Team for Season 2019.

“Both coaches bring a huge amount of knowledge to the coaching position and they are very keen to start working with the women on skill and game development.

“This is the second year of the Women’s Team after Kalangadoo experienced great success in their inaugural season.

Training will commence on Friday (October 19) at the Kalangadoo Oval followed by a barbecue and meet-and- greet opportunity.

All interested women are more than welcome and encouraged to attend.
