STRONG PAIR: Mount Gambier competitors Stephen and David Jones push out of a corner on their way to victory in the Sidecar Master of Mac Park on Sunday.

McNAMARA Park was all action on the weekend, with the annual Master of Mac Park series.

As reported in Tuesday’s edition of The Border Watch, Arthur Sissis put in a dominant performance to claim the honours, ahead of William Strugnell and Dallas Skeer.

Other Master races included sidecars, juniors and a consolation race for the open riders.

For the sidecars it was the Mount Gambier pairing of Stephen and David Jones who were simply too strong for the remainder of the field.

Aboard an 1100cc Suzuki, the pair managed to stay clear of fellow Suzuki operators Mark and Andrew Leigh.

Mount Gambier’s David McArthur and Chris Panayi rounded out the placings.

For the juniors it was a solid performance by Declan Carberry, who had dominated the meeting, to become junior Master.

Carberry stayed well clear of second placed Angus Grenfell, with Yasmin Elliott rounding out the placings.

The consolation Master of Mac Park provided plenty of high-octane excitement.

In the end Paul Van Der Heiden was too strong on his 1000cc Ducati Monster.

Tim Donnen took his 600cc Suzuki to second place, with the 600cc Kawasaki of Ben Leibig home in third.

Over the course of the weekend the South Australian Championships were conducted, with special interest to Skeer, who was running second in the Supersport class before the weekend.

Skeer dominated the weekend, with four wins from four starts to claim a 20-point victory over Evan Byles and as a result now leads the series.

David Anderson finished a further eight points behind to round out the podium.

In a similar scenario, Sissis dominated the Superbikes category.

Sissis was untouchable all weekend, easily claiming the win, along with the Master of Mac Park title.

He finished 20 points clear of Strugnell, with Byles a further eight points behind.

The Limited class saw a good dice between Royce Rowe and Michael Villani, but in the end Rowe claimed three wins for the round honours, with Villani hitting back in the second leg for one victory.

Sam Watson managed four third placings for the bottom spot on the podium.

The Naked bikes are always popular and Van Der Heiden took his classy 1000cc Ducati to four straight victories, ahead of Villani and Roger Ireland.

Duncan Lynch was a popular winner in the Pre Modern class, with a faultless run, ahead of Graham Snaith and David Redden.

The Sidecars saw Jones and Jones again dominate with four wins, while McArthur and Panayi claimed three second places to beat Leigh and Leigh home.

To round the weekend out, Carberry, Grenfell and Elliott finished in that order in the juniors.
