THE scene is set for an epic showdown when Kalangadoo takes on Hatherleigh in the Mid South East Netball Association second semi-final at Kalangadoo today.

Head-to-head this season both sides boast a win a piece, which should provide an entertaining contest on the Magpies’ home court.

Keston Green is a creative goalie who shoots with reliable accuracy week in, week out and is backed up well by Maddie Pulmer.

Green has been at her best this season and will be difficult to stop.

However, Kalangadoo’s defence line has been boosted by the presence of Narelle Ryan, who combines well with Jazzy Croser.

Chloe Pratt may also line up in defence, returning after a knee injury mid season.

Kelsey Wight is having a great season and youngster Georgia Duncan will need to be on top of her game to stop Wight’s dominance on the wing.

Jayde Peacock and Sarah Faulkner are both fit players, giving plenty of experience to their teams.

Last time the two sides met Maddie Redman and Lara MacGregor had the better of Melissa Russell and Abbey Duncan.

Despite their accurate shooting, any rebound was quickly snapped up and sent down to Green and Pulmer.

The result will not be as great as the 25 goals Hatherleigh won by in Round 11, but Eagles will break the hoodoo and move on to the Mid South East netball grand final.
