Golf: Blue Lake stableford winner returns to form

BACK IN FORM: David Goldspring led the way at the Blue Lake Golf Links on Saturday, with a round of 44 points to claim the overall honours.

BLUE Lake Golf Club will host it’s 21st annual GEM Easter Tournament this weekend with a big field entered.

Players will compete for prizes valued at over $1000 over the two days, with the major prize the coveted perpetual trophy for the best two nett scores.

The only dual winner of the event is local Bob White, who will return to add to his already impressive record, along with defending champion and fellow Blue Lake member Josh Gale.

There are prizes for each day, including best-off-the-stick and best nett for each grade, along with best scores from veterans and women.

Players wishing to take part in the tournament can do so by calling the clubhouse on 8725 6198.

It promises to be a great weekend of golf, with players able to play both days or just one and with the course in excellent condition, it will no doubt be a tough test for all.
