Bowls: Final night of Port MacDonnell owls

WEEKLY WINNERS: Father, son and daughter combination Keegan, Andrew and Lyndall Feast took out the final weekly night owls win for the series at the Port MacDonnell Bowling Club last week.

THE final night of this year’s night owls was well supported, with a supper held to celebrate the successful series.

On the night, the family team of Graham Blackall, Lyn Vanderley and Robert Blackall were announced the aggregate winners for 2018.

Both surprised and excited to accept their awards, the trophies were presented by night owl organiser Jennie Tilley.

President Kevin Henderson was also present and congratulated players, volunteers and sponsors alike on a successful six week series.

The weekly winners for the night was also a family team, with Keegan, Andrew and Lyndal Feast taking the honours.

Last week’s winners saw Cape Douglas new comers Maz and Steve Thomson and Cheryl Taylor on top, after winning their two games with a score of 47 points.

In second place was Nelson’s Lorraine Mackereth, Ali McLeod and Iris Wilkinson on 46.

Social Bowls

LAST Wednesday’s social bowls competition saw two teams finish with two wins.

Taking first place was Rod Sutton and Danny Gaut, who scored 54 points, ahead of Bill McGregor and John Broadbent with 49.
