WARRIORS proved far too strong for Concordes United in the latest round of Mount Gambier softball on Friday night.

It was a slow start from both sides as neither could make a break.

It took until the fourth innings for Warriors to step up to the plate and claim the advantage.

Impressive efforts with the bat from Emmerson Hann and Zoe Crouch broke through the solid pitching of both Tammy Jones and Dana Jones.

Concordes struggled to find the answers and could not break through due to strong pitching from Leyna Bruggemann and impressive efforts with the bat from the entire side.

Eventually Warriors took the honours over an undermanned Concordes outfit.

CONCORDES White was no match for Warriors who made no mistake and controlled the game early.

Warriors jumped off to an impressive start with good batting and catching from an injury prone Raquel Sneath.

Nic Vause also assisted with the bat, putting the game in Warriors’ favour.

Despite strong fielding from both Sam Brown and Chelsea Fowler, Concordes White struggled to put a halt to its opponent.

Leyna Bruggemann and Clare Chaplins put in another solid performance with the bat for Warriors.

However, it was a team effort which got it over the line.

A NAIL biting draw was the result when Demons and Concordes United battled on Saturday.

Neither side could break away early and a close finish was the result.

Strong batting from Bella Morale kept Demons in contention, but Billie Jones and Melissa Brodie assured Concordes United stayed in the game.

Both Demons and Concordes United refused to give an inch and as a result both sides were forced to settle for an eight-all draw.
