THE latest bocce tournament held by the Italo Australia Club has been hailed a success by director Frank Capriotti.

The competition was held in memory of the late Angelo Gentile, who Capriotti said was a great supporter of the game.

The one-day event attracted 39 players, with a dinner and trophy presentation held after play was complete.

Capriotti, with team members John Williamson and Laura Dellorefice claimed the honours on the day, ahead of Austin Rossi, Angelo Circelli and Michelle Blackburn.

Tony D’Agostino, Rob Dimucio and Carlo Zannoni rounded out the placings.
